Sometimes I am completely unoriginal. Like right now I cant come up with a good title for this post. Anyways, lots of things going on.
I started building my new shed yesterday. Talk about sore! Its going to be a nice sized monster 10′x18′. I got the worst part done. None of the ground is even close to being level and had to dig some of the supports almost a foot down. Tonight Im hoping to finish the floor so I can make another trip to Menards tomorrow for the wood for the walls.
I have never started drinking as early as I did on Saturday. We started at 6am for someones 50th birthday party. I had way too many mimosa’s (they are pretty good…first time Ive had one). Then we had a family reunion to go to and there was plenty of drinking there. I was sure tired by the time I got home.
I got the new seat for my motorcycle today. Talk about being bombproof. The new seat pan is made out of fiberglass instead of plastic. Extremely heavy duty…thats for sure. I put it on during lunch and it really makes the motorcycle look more stylish. Cant wait to ride home and see how it feels. Although anything is better than the stock one Im sure. Next thing I need is some large saddlebags. The cheap ones I bought off of ebay last year were a giant mistake. They are of such poor quality it isnt even funny. Still I didnt expect it to be this poor. The lenses for the tail-lights break off as soon as you try and put a screw in them, and if you do manage a screw into it the randomly fall off while you are driving down the road. Live and learn I guess.
Oh and I forgot…I have been messing with the look of the site…Some of you may have noticed. I hope to be getting the picture gallery up very soon!
Well sundays shinedown concert didnt dissappoint. It was pretty sweet and actually pretty different from any other concert I have seen (including the first time I saw them when they opened for Tantric). The lead singer (Brent Smith) added a lot of commentary to the concert. In between songs he would talk to the audience, and either explain the song upcoming song, where it came from etc. Or he would tell some little anecdote. The first one he told was about how the record industry says that rock is dead. Pretty crazy stuff he told about. Anyways, as always I would HIGHLY recommend going and seeing them if you have a chance. They are a truly amazing band and Brent’s voice never fails to give me goosebumps when he sings “Simple Man”
Last night Mandi and I met up with Amanda and Lisa and went to Mari-mar. Its this little authentic Mexican place on Green Cross Blvd between Madison and Fitchburg. The food is awesome and pretty cheap there. The Horchata (which is a drink made of almonds, rice, cinnamon, lime zest and sugar) is amazing there. It doesnt sound good but it really is. It looks kind of like milk.
After supper we headed down to the Union and had a pitcher. It was a good time and it was great to see the girls again and just hang out without having some kind of agenda.
I just got a call today and my building permit for my shed was approved so it looks like I know what I will be doing this weekend hopefully =D I was approved for a pretty decent size… 10′ x 18′ Hopefully it will be big enough for everything I need to get in there lol.
Well things are starting to get back to normal. Mandi came through her surgery on Tuesday with flying colors and is feeling pretty good. She is still sore, but that will pass.
I got a new keyboard at work. I picked up a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Normally I hate the ergo keyboards, but this one is pretty nice. The only thing that bothers me is the space bar. Its not very fluid and kind of binds up a little bit. Im sure with some use it will loosen right up.
This weekend Im hoping to get the boat at least partly fixed and get to Scotts property so that I can work on my truck. Good times. Also this weekend my sister, her boyfriend and myself are heading to beloit riverfest. We are going to see shinedown play there. Last time I saw them they rocked. Wish it wasnt going to be so darn hot and humid.

Well Sunday I pulled out my gas tank in the boat. What a chore. I pressure washed the inside as best as I could and its pretty clean now. All I need to do now is replace the rotten wood that was under it (I have already replaced most of it, I just didnt get under the gas tank when I did it last year). Hopefully this will be the end of my engine troubles and I can do some fishing! I want to check out Buffalo Lake next I think once I get it working again. Just need to buy a new worm rod now LMAO!
