Charlie’s Haus

I finally got out fishing again this year.  Cory came and picked me and the boat up and we headed over to Crystal Lake which is by Sauk City.  Its not a huge lake, but it is riddled with stumps.  Trust me.  Im pretty sure I found every single one with the boat.  I ended up ripping my trolling motor off of the boat at one point because I hit one going fairly fast.  All in all it was a good day, especially considering neither of us had been to the lake before and we were just guessing where to fish.  I ended the day with 4 fish, Cory had 2. 

Tomorrow Mandi and I leave for some camping action.  We are going to Nelson Dewey State Park.  Its on the Mississippi pretty much due west of here.  It looks pretty nice and it got good reviews.  It will be interesting since its the first camping Mandi has done since she was 6. 

The brewer game last Saturday was a blast.  We did some serious tail-gating and got to see some interesting people at the game.  One guy slid down a couple rows of chairs backwords cause he fell (and was drunk….go figure).  The game itself sucked, but everything else was sweet.  Good times.

I have updated my plugins section.  I added a few new ones too.  Im on a roll lately.

I jumped down to state street today and went to EBGames.  I had to pre-order rock band.  Its pretty early since in doesnt come out till Nov 20th, but I wanted to make sure I got it.  It took me 2 months to get Guitar Hero II and I think this will be way more popular.  Its definately gonna be pretty sweet and they have a lot of good songs/bands so far.  For those who dont know what Guitar Hero/Rock Band is, you play the notes that come down the screen.  The more you get right the higher score you get…if you get too many wrong, the song ends.  Rock Band is upping the ante and you can be a Bass player, Drummer, Singer as well as Guitar Player (like Guitar Hero).  It should be a blast.

Mandi and I saw the new Harry Potter Sunday.  It was pretty good.  The series is getting kind of old as its the same thing over and over.  From what I have heard about the books, the last 2 should be good.  The guy who plays Harry is starting to look old.  He had more muscles and a more chiseled face.  Hope that doesnt hurt the next movies.

This weekend is the Brewer Game.  Should be a good time and the weather is gonna be great.  Good day for some tailgating!  Im in charge of getting the grill packed up and grilling.  Good times!

Welp, its been a couple weeks since my last update.  We have just been so busy.  Its pretty annoying sometimes.  Greta is still a scared little girl.  It doesnt help that I have to give her medicine (she possibly has a respiritory infection…doc didnt know for sure but she was running a temp).  That has put her back into the “wont come out of the bedroom” mode.  Then 1 day she decided she didnt want to eat her food anymore so we had to switch to something new.  Of course I just bought a new big bag of the old stuff.  Hopefully after the pills are done next week she will be better. 

Havent done much on the truck.  It was either too hot (im not gonna kill myself to get it done) or we were busy with something.  Tonight I plan on getting some more work done.  The old engine is ready to come out and should hopefully be out tonight.

The other reason I cant work on it is because I had a little mishap with my Credit Card.  Apparently someone was “using it” in FL.  Now the weird part is that the CC company said they were physically swiping it.  I dont know how that works.  I have my card in my pocket.  So they cancelled my account and are sending me a new one.  Unfortunately dunno when the new one will be here.  Until then I only have my bank account. 

We went and saw Live Free or Die Hard.  I was amazed at how good it was.  I was expecting a semi-cheesey action flick, but it wasnt.  It was actually a great movie.  If you liked the other die hard movies, your gonna love this one.

I also went and saw Transformers.  OMFG….GREAT MOVIE!   There were a few plot holes that a lot of people are complaining about, but nothing real major (and cant be cleared up in the next movie).  The action scenes were in your face and intense.  You actually felt for the autobots.  If the movie was still on the Ultrascreen I would go see it again.  It rocked.  Too bad Harry Potter is out instead on the Ultrascreen.  Im sure we will end up seeing that too here soon. 

Last weekend we were in Milwaukee for Mandi’s friend Julies bday.  We went to La Fuenta for dinner than over to Koz’s for some mini-bowling.  Mini-bowling is so much fun.  My best game was a 203.
