I picked up Rock Band yesterday for my 360. Talk about fun. Playing drums is actually really tough. I need a lot more practice….lots more. The singing is fairly easy, but its really tough if you dont know the song. When you are singing during certain long percussion solo’s, you can play the tambourines, cowbell etc. So up comes the song Dont Fear the Reaper, and Im like cool. Then it gets to the cowbell part and you actually have to play it! How sweet! The only thing I could think of was the SNL skit. Ive got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell! But all in all, its an awesome game. It would be a lot of fun to put together your own “band” and play together.
I finally have the second section of desk put together. I finally got the parts I needed for my router to finish it. Someday Ill start on the 3rd section, but for now, its on the back burner. I want to start the basement remodel next. It would be really nice to be able to actually use the fireplace. That means a lot of work, but in the end its gonna look awesome. Before I start the basement though, I need to finish my truck. I need to get my boat to my moms house for the winter and get my old truck out of her garage and to scotts property for storage for now so that I can get the corvette in the garage for the winter. Plus I am really sick of working on the truck.
Other than that, not too much is new. It will be good to see the family tomorrow at slapsgiving….I mean thanksgiving (if you watch How I Met Your Mother you will understand…if you dont watch it…your missing out on the funniest show on tv). Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Saturday was pretty nice. We got to see John, Sarah and Maya, and also my Sister, Haiden and Grandma. My mom couldnt make it because she was sick. We had mexican and the food was pretty decent and the prices were awesome. I would go back. John and Sarah’s house is very nice. I was so jealous of their garage. It was so big! Someday maybe Ill have a big garage for all my junk.
The bad part about Saturday was the Badgers football team lost. First 3 quarters they actually seemed like they might pull out the huge upset, but the 4th quarter was like they werent even there. Pretty sad showing really. The hockey team made up for it though. They lost Friday, but won on Saturday. I got to watch some of it and they looked pretty good actually. Michigan Tech is #1 (Wisconsin in tied for #8 right now), so splitting the series is awesome. Just goes to show that rankings arent everything.
We had our new furniture delivered on Tuesday. The couch and love seat are red and the recliner is a tan color. They look really nice, but I really love the recliner. Its really really comfortable. The couch and love seat are decent, but I dont like how high they are off the ground. I dont remember them being that tall in the store, but I have a feeling its because the one in the store had been sat on a million times and this is brand new. Hopefully it will come down a tad. If not, Ill get used to it, its just a big contrast to our old couch is all. We now need to find some end tables and a coffee table. I may end up building the end tables if nothing else so they fit our space. Nothing fancy though or I will never get it done =p
I was finally able to get the engine under the hood of the truck. It was a giant struggle, but its there. Hopefully tonight I can get some work done on it. I would like to fire it up to make sure the engine is good (god it would suck if it isnt), then bolt all the accessories back up and get it all ready to go. I need it done so I can take my boat to my moms house for the winter to make room in the garage for the vette.
This weekend on Saturday we are going to our first hockey game of the season. I cant wait. I love going to hockey games. My mom is pretty excited too. She is going to all the games we go to this year! I think she is really digging it even though she has never seen hockey before. There is just a certain energy that the hockey games have. Its really exciting.
I added a new section to the vette pictures. Its pics I find on the internet of cars I like. I have seen the ZL1 before and found a pic of that stripe on an orange car. Im not sure I like it or not. I have some time to think about it though =D

We got a new kitty last week, his name is now Gunther. Mandi thought it was a good name to go with Greta. When she told me, all I could think of is the “you touch my tra la la” song. If you dont know what I am talking about, dont worry. I will post the video at the end. Anyways, he is a 2 year old all black cat. He is very playfull, and likes attention. He hasnt become a lap cat yet, but he is still getting used to things. He likes to lick my beard though, it feels like 40 grit sandpaper coming across my face! I will get some pictures of him up as soon as we find (or more likely buy) a new charger for our camera battery….dont ask.
Greta and him arent the best of buds yet. He wants to play with her so bad, but she wont have it. We have been keeping them seperated, one gets free roam of the house, and the other gets the spare bedroom. We switch them around every day. Its taken a week, but Greta mostly has stopped hissing at him. She still does when he comes at her too fast, but if he walks up, she is mostly ok with that. Last night is the first time we had a “family play session.” She would come out and play every once in awhile, but it was mostly Gunther having a blast.
Last week Friday I took off work early. I wanted to get the engine back in my truck. It was mostly ready to go, so I figured if I left at 2pm, I should be able to get it back in the truck at least (although maybe not all hooked up) before dark. Well on my way out of the garage with it, the front wheel of the engine hoist hit the crack in the cement and dumped the whole engine. I was furious. First of all, I cant believe that it would fall like that. I mean, thats had to have happened to people before. But I was even more mad cause the engine sustained some injuries. It landed straight on the oil pan. Luckily, it seems to have only broken the oil pan. Im hoping it didnt bend the crank, that would really make me mad. Basically new engine time at that point. So I got a new oil pan on the way, it should be here tomorrow.
We did our annual trick or treat for canned goods with the Middleton High School Key Club last night. We had a new neighborhood, it was actually much more relaxing. It was the first time in that neighborhood, so a lot of houses had forgotten and were unprepared. But that was ok. Key Club ended up with a record collection year. Last year was the record with around 3000 lbs. This year, they hit just over 5800lbs! Thats pretty amazing. There was a really good group of kids helping and things went way smoother than in previous years.
Other than that, it seems like we are never home or nothing gets done. Its starting to be a busy time of year again and will only get worse as the holidays approach. We went out for happy hour with some friends on Tuesday (Oh my Angina! (with a hard i)) to the Great Dane, that was fun. Saturday we are heading to Janesville with Mom, Sister, and Grandma and Meeting John and Sarah for lunch and then to John and Sarahs house for a tour of their house (and maybe a little beer tasting).
Im gonna close off saying I hate Charter. It would be nice to watch the Badger game, but no, its gotta be on the Big Ten Network again. I hate the Big Ten Network. Just put it on normal tv for crying out loud. Stop making us pay extra for it….GRRRR!!!! Ok, without further ado, here is the video!
