Just in case you thought all that gaming was bad for you, it turns out its not! Not only does playing video games help improve hand/eye coordination, but it turns out it is actually good for your eyes too! According to the following article, action games are best, but all games showed improvements in contrast sensitivity function (CSF). Link is for proof of scientific validity, not necessarily something you want to read unless you cant fall asleep ;)

Im pretty excited, my .22lr conversion kit for my AR15 is coming today! Woohoo! Now I can actually shoot my gun and not feel guilty as 223 ammo is hella expensive. The company that makes the conversion said they are releasing some new mags in the next month or two…hopefully its a drum! Imagine a 100 or 250 round 22 drum mag. That would be pretty fun. Too bad you cant have a full auto gun.

Im going to step on my podium for a second. The following link is to a movie called The Obama Deception. While I dont believe every conclusion that is drawn (too many conspiracy theories for me), it is a pretty good insight to what the next 3 years will be like. The guy who made the video, Alex Jones, has been right on quite a few of his predictions so far (which is kind of amazing since he has a lot of conspiracy theories). Anyways, its semi-long at almost 2 hours, but its worth a listen at least. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAaQNACwaLw

Time to get back to work for me =( Hope everyone is doing well!

Oh and before I forget, for anyone who wrote to their senators and congressmen regarding the post below, Thank YOU! The directive has been overturned!

Its time to contact your senators, congressmen!

The short story here is that the Department of Defense has issued a directive that stops all brass fired by the government from being resold to the civilian market. Dont believe me, do a search. Its all over the internet now.

Why does this matter to you? Well first is if your a gun owner, it means that the brass is no longer available to reload for your weapons. If you buy all your ammo new, it probably doesnt effect you directly. However even if you dont reload or own a gun it effects you! The reason is that brass in and of itself is fairly worthless. When sold to the civilian market, they are making around 80% of what that bullet cost originally back. The recycling they are proposing to do now will end up causing us the taxpayers more money because they will only be getting around 10% of the money back. Not only that, but recycling it causes more pollution to be put in our atmosphere since reloaders use it as is, where recycling it they have to melt it back down and make it pure again. It really makes no sense. Thank you Mr. Obama.

Anyways, please take a few minutes and let your senators and congressmen know that they need to stop this directive and stop causing taxpayers more money. For WI residents, here is the page to find out who you should contact: http://www.legis.wisconsin.gov/w3asp/waml/waml.aspx

Happy March!

Well I havent posted lately, and there are a lot of reasons. I have been super busy with the basement. The bar itself is mostly done (just some minor things needed now), and I have about half of the walls up. The last two days have been spent removing the bricks from the fireplace face. By this weekend I hope to have all the morter off of it so I can start getting that finished back up. Really Im hoping only a month of good work left. Now I know it will be longer than that with all the details, but the major construction will be done hopefully. It already looks so much nicer down there.

Ive been doing my stocking up of ammo as much as possible. Next is seeds and food/water, etc. Unfortunately I dont have a lot of faith in where our country is heading. While hopefully it will all turn out OK, its better to be safe than sorry I guess. While Im not as radical as most of these people, this is a really interesting website http://www.infowars.com Ive been listening to Alex Jones’s webcast, its fairly decent. He isnt a republican or democrat.

OK, enough of the political banter =D A few weeks ago, Mandi, 2 of her co-workers and I went to Quaker Steak and Lube and had dinner while hockey coach Mike Eaves was having his radio show (Mandi and her co-workers have crushes on him). After the show we were going to ask for a picture and before we could even say anything, Mike and his wife came up to me and asked where I got my tshirt cause they loved it! I was wearing one of my “More Cowbell” shirts. So of course we chated about that for a bit, then asked for the pic. I forgot to bring it with me, but I will post it later. Good times.

Other than that, we have kept busy. Just saw some of the fam on Saturday. Malissa, James and Haiden were going to come down so I could work on their computer and my Mom and Grandma came along. It was good to see them even though I spent most of the time away from them working on the computer. We finally had some Sonic while they were here. It was pretty good. Once the novelty wears off and it isnt so busy, I would go back for sure.

This weekend it might be time to give the car its first hand wash/wax if it actually gets as warm as is predicted!

I leave you with a disturbing yet funny video. A turtle humping a shoe ;)
