Ive been battling my left trap again for the past couple of months.  Ive been seeing a chiropractor, and that helps, but doesnt take care of the problem.   Since Monday night, its been excruciating.  Doing nothing and anything seems to aggravate it.  I have a chiro appt tonight after two weeks, hopefully that will get it back to managable.  Im getting really frustrated with it and no sleep cause it hurts too much.

Ive been reading a lot lately (mostly because I cant sleep anyways).  I know Im a dork, but Im reading the Halo books.  They are actually very well done.  You can tell the difference between the fist author and the second author, but its not so bad that you cant read it.  The first author was a sci-fi writer that was hired to do it.  Its not rocket science to see why he would be better at it.  Im glad the next one is done by him again though.  If I get through all of these, I may actually have to go back to reading the Dune novels.  Ive read the first two already, and half of the first one again.  I would have to start over though again because you always forget details.

Got the hard part of xmas lights up last night….the icicle lights on the house.  Hopefully this weekend I can get the rest of the stuff done.  I really wanted to do the roof while it was still at least a little nice out.  At least it was above freezing when I did it.

My buddy Scott gave me a chainsaw that was given to him because it was ran without oil.  It had seemed to be seized up.  He said I could have it if I wanted to fix it, and I took him up on that offer.  The saw had only been used a handfull of times, then the guy loaned it out and it was used without mixed gas.  I figured the worst it would need is a new cylinder and piston, and found the kits for $100.  Not bad to get a nearly new Stihl chainsaw for $100.  So I decided to take it apart and make sure thats all that was wrong with it.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that when I took the piston out, there was very little damage.  The only place that had scars on the cylinder were below the exhaust ports, so I didnt need to worry about those.  The rest of it looked exceptionally good.  Honestly, I couldnt even tell that it had any damage.  So I decided to put it back together and see what would happen.  I cleaned it all up on the way.   I dumped a little gas down the carb for the first pull since I coated the cylinder and piston with oil when I reinstalled them, and bam, it ran on the first pull.  It had good power and sounded good.  The next night I started it like normal, and 3 pulls later it was running.  I had some wood sitting there that was too long for the fireplace so I cut them up.  Like a knife through butter!  You cant ask for better results than that.  So I ended up with a chainsaw that runs like new for next to nothing.  Ill definately be buying Scott lunch sometime as a thanks.

I suddenly have the urge to get back into paintball.  Dunno why, so Ive had all my markers broken apart cleaning them for the last two months (need to fix minor issues with them since they sat for 8 years).  Tonight I will be getting some more parts to hopefully put back together the ones that are apart.  But in the package is new bodies.  There was a black friday deal on them and I couldnt resist.  Im hoping to be able to sell them after I get them all done up.  But before that can happen, I need to learn how to anodize aluminum.  Not a bad thing to know how to do anyways, and I might even be able to make a few bucks on the side if I can pick it up.  Im just waiting for the ebay cashback to go to 15% or higher so I can buy the power supply needed.
